Professional Development

    By exploring the 8 social identities your team will gain a better understanding of their unique power and privilege in each one leading to a shared understanding of how each team member can bring awareness of their own and others' social identities when creating and participating in DEIB initiatives.

    Discussing both the personal and systemic aspects of belonging, we'll set the stage to deepen and better understand how to dismantle systems of oppression, fight personal biases, and create a workplace that truly values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • For Staff With Marginalized Identities

    Do you constantly doubt your abilities and fear being exposed as a fake? Reclaim your power in the workplace by learning why the phrase exists, explore its roots in systemic oppression, and use powerful strategies to break free from its grip.

    How do you get back your power and make grounded decisions after living in a world of bias and oppression? We’ll ask you: what do you need to demand, and from who? You’ll discover the shifts you can let yourself consider and small to big actions to make them possible. We will celebrate, acknowledge, and witness you.

    Have you struggled to ask for more when it comes to your salary or rate? You will learn ways to get comfortable and confident rooted in your worth. Together, we'll work to undo the tangle between what you're paid and how much you're worth-so you are more prepared for salary and raise conversations.

This approach involves identifying and addressing the underlying systems and structures that aren’t working. We recognize that systemic transformation requires a deep examination and time together to work towards change and we will work with you to develop a workplace culture, new policies and practices that work.

Transformational shifts

  • A 4-Session Series

    Session 1: Workshop for Staff with Marginalized Identities: The Basics of Oppression at Work

    We will take the team through an activity where they will reflect on the harm they’ve experienced and ways to move forward in repairing the harm.

    Session 2: Workshop for Staff with Non-Margnizalied Identities Workshop: The Basics of Oppression at Work

    We will take the team through an activity where they will reflect on the harm they’ve witnessed, experienced, and/or allowed to take place and ways to move forward in repairing the harm.

    Session 3: Acknowledging Harm & Commit to Repair

    We will bring the two groups together to facilitate awareness and responses to engage in meaningful listening and sharing. This is the foundation to working towards centering DEIB in everything you do, from the programs you offer, to the way you operate internally and interact with each other. We will help you build trust by taking action and practicing.

    Session 4: Moving Forward

    This is a group discussion to build on the shared ownership of accountability and action of DEIB goals, and commitments made in the previous sessions. We will create an action plan together that you can use to establish movement toward your DEIB goals.

The goal of a cultural shift is to create lasting and meaningful change within the organization that prioritizes DEIB values and promotes a sense of belonging and respect for all employees with a mix of training, education, and discussion to identify & challenge systemic biases. You can choose these individually or collectively.

Cultural Shifts

  • A 5 session weekly series for Staff with Marginalized identities who have been harmed by systemic oppression to support them as they grow more powerful while desiring equity and justice at work.

  • Staff w/ Non-Marginalized Identities

    A 5 session weekly series for those who have been working as allies and want to take their commitment to the next level by actively collaborating with other staff to challenge systemic oppression.

  • All Staff

    Do you need a supportive space for your team to share and process thoughts and feelings related to a collective external issue? This space will allow your team to gain clarity and perspective on the issue, as well as identify next steps for working towards repair-or just a space to be in community.

These additional offerings can be added to any set of services.

  • We will support staff in building trust, cultivating their leadership and ownership in the organization and with any other identified needs such as management, leadership, and how to execute DEI work.

  • We will share our observations and in collaborate on recommendations on how to make these function better.

  • Prior to the start of our work we will send out a survey to gather a sense of where the team is currently to guide our work. It will be anonymous and summarized to be shared with leadership. Also, a post-survey will be sent to capture feedback and guide next steps.
